Medication Administration Refresher Training

This non-accredited course is designed for Disability Support Workers who are needing to refresh their knowledge on the rules and regulations relating to assisting clients with medication.

This course will cover the guiding principles of medication administration, medication schedules, prescribed/non-prescribed medications, 5 rights of medication administration, identification of high risk medications, medication adverse reactions, refusals and incidents, and the storage and disposal of medication. This course includes an online multiple choice assessment.

This course is delivered 100% online and should take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. This course is self paced so can be completed over a number of sessions. This course MUST be completed within a 6 month time-frame. Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete this course.
