This course covers all the topics of a traditional first aid course such as:

• CPR

• How to use an Automated External Defibrilator (AED)

• Signs, symptoms and management of medical emergencies including asthma, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, seizures and poisoning

• Management of traumatic injuries including abdominal injuries, bleeding, nose bleeds, needle stick injuries, burns, choking, crush injuries, electrocution, eye injuries, sprains and strains, fracture management, head and spinal injuries and shock

• Management of environmental emergencies including drowning, heat and cold illness and bites and stings

The course requires you to complete a short multiple choice quiz after each topic.

This course is delivered 100% online and should take approximately 3-4 hours to complete. This course is self paced so can be completed over a number of sessions. This course MUST be completed within a 6 month time-frame. Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete this course.
